Six Months

A lot can happen in six months.

A heart can heal,

a mind can unlearn,

and stolen years shall be restored.

At first, steps in the new are shaky.

Bare in mind, the temptation,

comfort you seek.

Don’t look back.

Easier said than done.

Forgetting didn’t help.

God will.

A lot can happen in six months.

A friendship birthed,

a path made clear,

and genuine love for others reignited.

How can one question such an Author?

In and out of season, He is.

Just when you thought it was over,

King of glory steps in.

Like a kid guessing the rest of the sequel,

may you never stop trusting His pen.
